GHEP – Global Horticulture Excellence Program

Build the skills to become a modern horticulture professional. GHEP is a comprehensive skill-development program covering professional landscape design, nursery management, protected cultivation, hydroponics, smart irrigation, precision farming, GIS, drone applications and urban horticulture. The program combines practical knowledge with modern technologies to help learners develop industry-relevant skills for employment, consultancy, freelancing and entrepreneurship.

Over six months you work through integrated modules—from design and nursery operations to protected cultivation, agri-tech, and urban horticulture—so you can connect field practice with planning, documentation, and modern production systems.

Module 1: Professional Landscape Design & Garden Planning

  • Site planning and layout thinking for residential, commercial, and institutional outdoor spaces
  • Planting design, garden concepts, hardscape coordination, and basic 2D/3D design workflow

  • Soil moisture monitoring, sensors, controllers, and automated irrigation concepts
  • Precision agriculture: field data, GPS, variable-rate ideas, and smart decision-making
  • Applying agri-tech in farms, nurseries, greenhouses, and landscape projects

Module 6: GIS, Remote Sensing & Drone Applications

  • GIS mapping, spatial analysis, and land-use/site assessment for agriculture and landscapes
  • Satellite imagery and remote sensing for planning and monitoring
  • Drone uses for crop monitoring, mapping, imaging, and field data collection
  • Connecting geospatial tools to irrigation, horticulture, and landscape development

Module 7: Urban Horticulture & Enterprise Skills

  • Urban farming, microgreens production, and low-space crop systems
  • Vertical gardens, green walls, and urban greening installation concepts
  • Packaging, hygiene, and local marketing for urban produce ventures
  • Consultancy, freelancing, and entrepreneurship planning for horticulture careers

Who this is for: Minimum 12th pass or equivalent learners from agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, forestry, botany, diplomas, B.Voc, design or civil backgrounds, nursery and gardening professionals, and career switchers who want a complete horticulture skill stack—not a single short specialisation.

Outcomes: You can practise integrated horticulture workflows: read a site, propose planting and irrigation, plan nursery or protected production, use basic agri-tech and mapping tools, and present ideas for freelance, consultancy, or own-enterprise work. Training builds skills; it is not a statutory licence and does not include job or placement guarantees.
